What a great read! The Day I Disappeared successfully balanced page-turning action with romance. The action is intense as the main characters hurtle through time and avoid historic pitfalls while steering clear of bad girl Vanth, who ranks high as one of the nastiest villains ever. Events are set in motion by the mysterious stone, Hemisatres, that seems to have a mind of its own as it steers the fate of the world. Just a little pressure for our heroines, Lydia and Nortia, as they work on saving the world and falling in love.
Not one, but two, interwoven love stories further ensure that this is the book that has it all. The settings were described in beautiful detail, from ancient Etruria to Florence in the Renaissance. Lydia and Nortia were relatable, with Lydia's humor bringing welcome lightness to the story. Charontes and Antoni, the male leads, give off just the right amount of "Me Tarzan, You Jane" vibes.
So glad I brought this book...Looking forward to more from this great author!
